Our Story
Daniel and Joan’s story is nothing but short of a miracle. Way before meeting Daniel, Joan dreamt that she would meet her future husband on a dating App. Joan initially dismissed that dream, but the thought of it lingered in her mind. One day she decided to share her dream with friends and to her surprise many of them encouraged her to give dating Apps a try. With much hesitation Joan set up her profile on a dating app. Mariella (the maid of honor) taught her how to navigate dating apps.
On her profile, Joan had written “you can’t date me unless you love Jesus because my life revolves around Him.” Daniel commented on that and said he loved what she wrote.
Daniel was intentional from the beginning. He made it clear that he was looking for a serious relationship. One of Daniel’s first questions to Joan was if she wanted to have kids. Joan was astounded by that question because it was their first conversation, but at same time she was happy because she could tell Daniel was serious. After a few online conversations, Daniel asked Joan on a date. The date was amazing. They both could relate to each other in different ways. The couple went on more dates and that’s how it all started.
During week days Joan and Daniel were both very busy but kept in touch via phone. They lived one hour away from each other, but they made it a priority to spend time together on the weekends. Some of the activities they loved doing together and still enjoy to this day include exploring different cuisines, hiking, going to water parks, sip and painting, watching movies, traveling, going to broadway shows, cooking, attending concerts, and spending time with family and friends.
On the sunny day of August 23rd 2023, Daniel decided to elevate their relationship to another level by proposing to Joan at Sea Bright beach in New Jersey.
Daniel and Joan share the same heart and are both firm believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The couple is grateful to God for bringing them together and are excited about their future.
